By now Hometown Sheds is the name you know and trust for all of your outdoor needs. Just like our sheds, over ten years ago our company was locally built from the ground up, right here in the southeast. While many things have changed over the years, one thing has remained the same – our quality products and excellent customer service.
Laying A Foundation. In 2010 Mike Bolynn and Gerrick Gann were working as general contractors for a local modular home company. After the company unexpectedly closed, they were approached with the business venture of manufacturing storage sheds. Taking their industry knowledge and experience, they founded Hometown Sheds in early 2011. In February 2011, the first Hometown location was officially opened in Gastonia, where the original General Manager Jeff Cooper still helps customers with all of their storage solutions today. Shortly after opening the first location, Hometown opened multiple other lots across the Carolinas and Virginia. As they say, the rest is history. Today there are eleven total Hometown Sheds locations.
Building It Up. Hometown Sheds originally offered only metal sided sheds which were manufactured by Bennett Buildings. After only three years, wooden sheds were added to the product mixture alongside quality playsets, dog kennels, chicken coops, carports, and garages. In 2015, Hometown began manufacturing their own sheds, adding attention to detail and creating a truly customizable design for customers. Today customers can work with a local sales professional to design, create, and build their own storage structure from the ground up with numerous plans and options available.
Standing Apart. When asked what sets Hometown apart from other storage companies, Mike states that, “We’ve hired what we feel like is the most experienced and knowledgeable sales staff in the industry. Customers feel that experience with us throughout the process.” He also says that the rent to own and financing options are much more expansive than when the company was first created, allowing the customer to pay over time for their storage solutions, kennels, coops, and playsets.
